Who did you say is a Minority?

Who did you say is a Minority?

Ever since I started reading about culture..and more so in the late 70's the word : "minorities" started to surface. My God-given wisdom rebelled. Knowledge culled from traveling was imbeded. Knowledge that there are more of us than of them, supposedly the "Majority"..as in the subtext hidden in the political ideology of "Moral Majority."

Many people pick and choose from the lexicon buffet of confusion enveloping us. Millions of words are written from our consciousness using the same word to define, redefine or complain, about the treatment of the "so called minorities."

In the continual use of the word as applied to ourselves we cement further and further the chism between those who wish to continue to rule over us and their definitions.I know better. There are more people with color than people without on the planet. Therefore it is really simple. We are the majority.

Walk with understanding and heads up Kings and Queens. Uttering those fate sealing words going forward only undermine our move towards taking charge of our own collective destiny.

We dont' have to announce it, our color says it all , we are obviously the Majority. That's why we are so highly visible. So color-filled , so beautiful ,so fascinating, so different yet so much the same Spiritually.

The children of Ham becoming the rulers, was the impetus for changing the truth and writing that our color was a curse from God. Not true. Didn't Moses marry a NUBIAN woman?

Who defined ,labeled, created and used Negro, African -American, Black- who is to define whom?

In Anthropology we teach about assimilation and the right to define one's self. Define who you are by what makes you feel good and proud, not by a society, cultural or civil-rights leader, and certainly not by a former master!

Ohhh-what a lovely holiday gift , Mozell..let those who read our blogs know that we can fight, and disagree, and still have love for one another and show it!

Well, unfortunately psychologically and spiritually-- names, label ,affect us-- they are words they have the power to build up or tear down, that's why there are poets and there is the Word, to uplift. As you know the masters say it to us to wear us down.

Lets' look at a recent example: Al-Zawahiri--calling our President " a house slave" the impact world wide is to remind people who are too heady with the image of this powerful black man, that oh, he is nothing..many don't know our true history , and may codify or internalize that feeling of us being somewhat "less"?

You got to remember Mozell, humans are hierarchical, meaning they build "pecking orders" in societies, whoever has the gold makes the rules--

You have proven yourself, through all of our battles to be quite a gentleman. Know that I appreciate and admire that in you...and that is what the human family should be about, love one another through and in spite of our differences, because at any given time,my way will win- in another time your way will be stronger..it's malleable, it's changing, it's effusive it's life..nothing is set in stone, not even that saying , " all I have to do is stay black, pay taxes and die", well Michael Jackson is no longer black! you can get around paying taxes, (don't work) lol and now your body can be frozen (cryonics) freezing your body forever..Life--is fascinating--have a wonderful day,my friend.
